The Beginning

Technigraph was founded in 1950 as a screen-printing company primarily designing and screening point of purchase displays. In 1958, Technigraph was asked to print on glass bottles. In response to the expressed need, we built our first bottle press using wood, nails and screws. This rather daring innovation for the time worked and we’ve been pioneering solutions ever since. Since the mid sixties, our primary focus has been container decoration.

Problems Solved

Home base is a 140,000 square foot facility in Winona, Minnesota. We employ over 75 people – many of whom have been with Technigraph for more than 25 years. Technigraph’s high-speed decorating equipment can screen print up to 6 colors in-line with 100% machine vision inspection of the finished product. In addition to direct screen printing, we’re known for our state of the art capabilities in hot stamping, closure and direct printing, as well as the application of pressure-sensitive labels as a stand alone process or in combination with screen printing.

Many come to Technigraph because other container decoration companies have told them what they want just isn’t possible. We’re known for problem solving and taking the opportunity to approach the process with a new strategy. Custom fabrication, emergency runs, complex bonding and superior print fidelty down to 4 point type are spoken here.

Although the Midwest is home, Alpha Packaging is our parent company. This allows us to bring our container decoration expertise to customers throughout the United States, Canada and western Europe.
